Chinese carmaker BYD (Build Your Dreams) is all set to enter the Indian passenger vehicle segment with the Atto 3. This car has been launched in China in February 2022. The BYD Atto 3 is sold in two different battery packs in the global market. There is a 49.92 kWh battery pack, which is capable of delivering a driving range of 320 km on a single charge, while there is a larger 60.48 kWh battery, which can last up to 480 km on a full charge. The permanent magnet sync motor produces 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. It helps it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. It is equipped with BBT (Blade Battery Technology), which is said to be more secure than other battery technologies. This zero-emission SUV supports 80 kW DC fast charger, takes less than 60 minutes and comes with three-pin AC or Type-2 AC charger option.

Exterior

The front look of the vehicle is attractive and its road presence is quite powerful. It gets LED projector headlamps with auto leveling and LED DRLs for better visibility. There is a beautiful V-shaped chrome grille between the two headlamps and a Silver BYD badge at the centre with large front bumper are available at the bottom. The side gets 18-inch alloy wheels.
