1. Maruti Brezza CNG
According to media reports, Maruti Suzuki will soon introduce its Brezza SUV in CNG variant. It is believed that this will be the first CNG SUV to get an automatic gearbox. The company can offer this SUV in a total of 7 variants. The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine will be used in this SUV, which can generate 87 bhp power and 112 Nm torque. However, so far no official announcement has been made regarding its mechanism and launch.

2. Toyota Hyryder CNG
Toyota recently officially confirmed the launch of the CNG variant of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. This will be the first mid-size SUV in the country, which will be launched in the market with CNG kit. In this, the company has used the K15C petrol engine of 1.5 liters capacity, which you also get in Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It is being claimed that in CNG mode, this SUV will generate power of 90bhp and give a mileage of around 26 km per kg.

Along with this, the facility of 5-speed manual gearbox can also be given. According to reports, this SUV is expected to be launched in the market by next year.

5. Hyundai Venue CNG
Hyundai Motor India currently offers two CNG models, namely, Grand i10 Nios hatchback and Aura mid-size sedan. With an aim to strengthen its market, the company is planning to tap the growing CNG segment with new CNG versions of its existing models. It might consider the Venue subcompact SUV that’s currently available with the 1.5L turbo diesel, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engine options. However, the upcoming Hyundai Venue CNG variant may get 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder kappa bi-fuel CNG engine , which produces 82 bhp maximum power and 114 Nm of torque, is offered only with a five-speed manual transmission.

6. Kia Sonet CNG
The Kia Sonet was spotted testing with the CNG kit some time back. The variant under test was powered by the brand’s 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This could be an indication that Kia is planning to introduce a CNG kit mated to the turbocharged petrol engine. The Sonet CNG will be mated to a 6-speed manual. Its 1.0L turbo engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. Sonet CNG will have a slight drop in power and max problem. It will compete with the soon-to-be-launched new Maruti Brezza, which will also be offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
