1. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is likely to be launched in India soon. It will get the same 2.2-litre, mHawk diesel engine as the Thar, though the power and torque ratios may be different. It will be offered in two variants and 7-seater and 9-seater layouts along with the P4 and P10. When launched in India, it could be priced between Rs. 9.90 lakhs to Rs. 12.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).

2. Maruti Suzuki YTB

The Indo-Japanese automaker will introduce a new compact SUV based on the Baleno hatchback, currently codenamed YTB, in early 2023. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno Cross is based on the same Heartect platform as the Baleno and will have many similarities. The YTB or Baleno Cross will have a coupe-like roof with a bigger boot and will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It is likely to make its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo before going on sale.

3. Hyundai Micro-SUV

Hyundai is said to debut a micro SUV at the 2023 Auto Expo in January and could be showcased in its near-production form before going on sale in due course of next year. It will likely compete against Tata Punch and others.

4. Honda Compact-SUV

The compact SUV based on the Honda Amaze is expected to be launched by the middle of next year and will take on the likes of Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and others. It may use the same powertrain options as the Amaze. This five-seater could follow the modern design language adopted by the brand globally.

5. 7-seater Citroen C3

The Citron C3 is currently the French auto major’s most affordable offering and will expand its portfolio with the arrival of a more practical seven-seater version sometime next year. It has already been seen several times during testing on public roads.

6. Toyota Coupe SUV

The YTB-based rebadged SUV coupe could also debut in the first half of next year as part of Toyota’s relationship with Maruti Suzuki. It will be placed below the Urban Cruiser Highrider in the portfolio and could be powered by the same 1.0-litre three-pot Boosterjet petrol engine as the YTB.

7. New Toyota Urban Cruiser

The new generation Maruti Suzuki Brezza was introduced in India towards the end of June 2022 and the Toyota Urban Cruiser is yet to receive the update. The compact SUV is expected to get exterior and interior changes in India before the end of this year.
