Volkswagen Germany’s leading automaker Volkswagen has finally launched its new mid-size sedan Volkswagen Virtus in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 11.22 lakh. Car lovers in India were waiting for this sedan car for a long time. This sedan was officially debuted in India in March 2022. Customers wishing to buy the Volkswagen Virtus sedan can book it online or at an authorized Volkswagen dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. The Virtus replaces the Volkswagen Vento in the Indian market. What the company says is an ambitious model that not only promises to challenge the existing sedans in the country like Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna but will also likely take on the growing preference for mid-size SUVs.
Exterior Design: Volkswagen Virtus
Talking about the look and design of Volkswagen Vertus, this mid-size sedan comes with a sharp look. It matches the automaker’s contemporary design philosophy. It gets sharp looking LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, sleek front grille with glossy chrome lining. The bumper gets black mesh and chrome accents.
Talking about the side profile, it gets sporty 16-inch Razor black alloy wheels, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, clean sheet visual appearance and character lines on the lower body. The Volkswagen Vertus sedan will also get a glossy black rear spoiler, dual-tone roof and GT badging. Front red brake calipers add to the sporty feel of the sedan.

There are many features available in this sedan car. The car gets a premium feel through styling and features. The dashboard gets an 8.0 inch digital cockpit, a large 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment display, flat-bottom steering wheel. Red accents have been given with the dual-tone interior theme, which adds to its sporty look. It gets many connectivity features and an eight-speaker audio system inside the cabin.

In terms of size, the Volkswagen Vertus measures 4,561 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width and 2,651 mm in wheelbase. Volkswagen claims that the all-new Vertus sedan is the biggest in its segment. It is available in two different trims – Dynamic Line and Performance Line.
Engine Specification: Volkswagen Virtus
Volkswagen Virtus is available in two engine options–1.5L TSI EVO and 1.0L TSI. The car’s 1.5L TSI EVO engine makes 150ps of power and generates 250Nm of peak torque. While the 1.0 L TSI engine gives power of 115ps and generates peak torque of 178Nm. There are three types of transmission of the engine. It has 6-speed and 7-speed options. The mileage of the car is 18.67 and 19.4 kmpl respectively.
