Volkswagen India has finally launched its all new Vertus mid-size sedan in the country. Its model lineup consists of four trims – Comfortline, Highline, Topline and GT, which are priced between Rs 11.21 lakh to Rs 17.91 lakh. Talking about engine and power, 2 engine options are being seen in it, in which 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine is capable of generating 108bhp power and 175Nm torque. At the same time, the 1.5 liter 4 cylinder TSI petrol engine is capable of generating 147bhp power and 250Nm torque. This new sedan is offered in 6 speed manual and 6 speed torque converter automatic as well as 7 speed DSG automatic transmission options.

On the Other hand, Skoda Slavia gets the same powertrains, Actually Slavia shares its components with Virtus as both companies uses the same MQB AO IN platform.

The King of the segment Honda City on the other side: In Honda City, you get 1.5 Liters i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine and 1.5 Liters i-DTEC DOHC diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 121 PS power and 145 Nm torque. At the same time, the diesel engine gives 100 ps power and 200 Nm torque. This car comes with manual and automatic transmission. In Hyundai Verna you get 1.5 l MPI Petrol, 1.0 l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol and 1.5 l U2 CRDi Diesel engines. In this also you get manual and automatic transmission.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been brought with two new 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engines. Its new 1.5 K15B petrol engine churns out 104 Bhp of power and 138 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic gearbox.
