The BS6-compliant Ford EcoSport has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 8.04 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 8.54 lakhs for the diesel variant, all prices ex-showroom. The company has also announced that the BS6 EcoSport range comes with a standard 3-year/1,00,000 kms warranty. The BS6 Ford EcoSport petrol comes with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 122 PS and 149 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. While a total of 7 variants are available on the 1.5 petrol EcoSport, the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine has been discontinued for our market. The BS6 EcoSport also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a single 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel will be offered in a total of 6 variants.

Fromt the outside, Ford EcoSport has a unique design that highlights its high ground clearance. The front portion of the vehicle consists of a single unit having a prominent hexagonal grille flanked by horizontal slats. The Ford logo at the centre of grill looks commanding.
