The demand for electric cars is continuously increasing in the country. In such a situation, the country’s popular car manufacturer Mahindra is also preparing to introduce its new EV model. Recently the testing mule of the Mahindra BE.05 all electric SUV has been spied testing for the first time. However, closer scrutiny revealed a slight difference. Currently, the exact launch date has not been revealed but it will most likely hit the dealership floors by October 2025. Almost a year ago, Mahindra & Mahindra made the global debut of its electric SUV concept Mahindra BE.05 in the UK.

The BE.05 will be the first car in the upcoming BE range of SUVs from Mahindra. The company will launch it in the Indian market by 2025. Come, let’s take a look at all the updates that have surfaced about the Mahindra BE.05.

Look and Design

The company is presenting the BE.05 with a four-door SUV-coupe style, which gives it a very unique look. When its concept model was introduced, the most talked about at that time was its look and design. The concept model BE.05 measures 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. We expect the production version to get a similar footprint. However, the company can also make changes in it as per the need.

Being an SUV-coupe, it gets a sloping roofline that runs till the rear of the car. The rear gets C-shaped tail lamps, which are mounted on a heavily styled bumper. Although the pictures of the production ready model are not very clear yet, it is believed that the company will make some changes in its rear section.

Interior Features

As of Now, no pictures of its interior have been revealed. But looking at the concept model, the company had given a dual screen layout in it. Apart from this, the two-spoke steering wheels make the interior of this electric SUV even more premium. It has a large gear selector with rotary control system. Overall, the interiors of the Mahindra BE.05 are expected to be quite rich and premium.

Power and Performance

Mahindra’s Born-Electric (BE) range is based on the all-new INGLO EV platform. As of now, no information has been shared about its powertrain or battery pack. But it is believed that the company can provide a battery pack of 60-80kWh capacity in it. Apart from this, this SUV is also expected to get 175kW charger support. It is being told that this charger will charge the battery up to 80% in just 30 minutes. As far as the driving range is concerned, a driving range of up to 450 kilometers is expected from the 80kWh battery.

The Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV will measure 4,790mm in length, 1,905mm in width and 1,690mm in height. It will be a 5-seater model and will ride on a 2,775mm long wheelbase.
