Hyundai Motor India has launched the Elite i20 BS6 in petrol option for an introductory price of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the month of March, 2020. The premium hatchback does not get a diesel option in its BS6 avatar. Hyundai Elite i20 rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz, Toyota Glanza and Volkswagen Polo. Powering the new Hyundai Elite i20 BS6 is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers 83PS and 114Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only, with no automatic transmission option. Unlike its BS4 counterpart, the Elite i20 BS6 does not get a diesel powertrain choice. BS6 Hyundai Elite i20 – Exterior:
From the outside, the i20 hatchback gets a string of new elements such as the chrome finished hexagonal radiator grille in front, C-shaped chrome inserts along with integrated LED DRLs headlamps with Insert Fog lamp with redesigned Air dam. From the side, it looks modish with sharp beltline, flared wheel arches and supporting character lines. The slightly protrude wrap-around tail lamps at the back adds to the elegance. There are air curtains at the front as well. Also available are features like roof antenna, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and body-coloured bumpers, ORVMs and outside door handles.
BS6 Hyundai Elite i20 – Interior:
From the Inside, Hyundai has also spiced up the interiors offer by more premium and exquisite stuff inside the cabin. The Elite i20 is feature rich from inside which is a norm for all Hyundai cars now. The cabin now looks better with the redesigned dashboard in beige-black combination. The BS6 Elite i20 gets all the features like tilt and telescopic multifunction steering wheel, advanced supervision MID and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility.
