Last two days we have seen two big launches, a Hyundai’s flagship model Tucson facelift and another one is MG’s Hector Plus. With the launch of these two large SUV’s the segment is getting heat for the market. In this post we are going to compare these two SUV’s which are very well known in the India markets. The Hector Plus, comes equipped with more features with copatins seats, which is biggest addition of them compare to Tucson facelift. On the other hand, 2020 Hyundai Tucson meets Hyundai’s lattest technology ‘BlueLink connected car technology’. Apart from all of this, Hector Plus is the car that is being touted as the first Internet Car in the country with its I-smart system. Let’s take brief on both cars features bleow.
2020 Hyundai Tucson vs MG Hector Plus – Design
Exterior:- Overall the styling of the Tucson facelift remains largely unchanged. However, on closer inspection, some new features can be seen. The headlamps are brand new projector LEDs with five-illuminating elements. It will continue to get LED DRLs but with a new sharper design. The front grille is now sharper, and the front bumper has also been tweaked. The tail lamps are now all LEDs as well and the rear bumper now sports dual-exhaust tips. The Tucson will also sport new alloy wheels.
Another side, the Hector Plus is equipped several features which is first in segment. There are LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, LED front and rear fog lamps, floating light turn indicators, heated ORVMs, shark fin antenna and dual-tone machined alloy wheels in the six-seater SUV. here is generous use of Smoked Sepia Brown leather inside the cabin, which has three rows with captain seats in the middle. The driver-seat is six-way power-adjustable, while the co-driver seat can be power adjusted in four ways.
Interior:- The cabin of the new Tucson features a new dashboard design with a new touchscreen infotainment system. It is an 8-inch unit that features a floating design. It will feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the latest operating system from Hyundai and BlueLink. More on that below. The Tucson will also feature a brand new panoramic sunroof and the cabin will be finished in all-black colour theme for the Indian market and feature soft-touch materials on most surfaces.
On the other hand, MG Hector Plus less with the 10.4-inch touchscreen AVN system supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The instrument cluster has a 7-inch coloured digital MID that shows data about navigation, music, calling and TPMS, among others. Also available are features like leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, eight-colour ambient lighting and dual-pane panoramic roof. The powered tailgate can be opened simply by swiping the foot under the sensor. The new Hector Plus is equipped with i-Smart connectivity technology that offers over 55 connected car features.
