The first electric car from Kia is the Kia Soul EV was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and is expected to launch in India. The Soul is one of the most popular Kia cars, especially in the North American market. Talking about its electric version, the Soul EV shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Kona electric, and hence making it easier to bring the car to the Indian market.

Another side, Currently, Mahindra & Mahindra is working on bringing a fully electric version of the XUV300 sub-4m SUV, which will directly rival the Tata Nexon EV and Kia Soul in the Indian market. Although, we expect the XUV300 Electric to be launched only by the end of next year. The XUV300 Electric could be priced around the Rs 15 lakh mark.

Kia Soul EV vs Mahindra eXUV300 SUV – Design

Kia Motors is prepping for its India debut by 2020 and while the carmaker previewed a host of vehicles at the Auto Expo this year. From the Outside, Kia Soul EV has a boxy silhouette and features Kia’s signature tiger nose grille in front which also houses the charging port. Additionally, the front sports upswept, wraparound dual-barrel projector headlamps. The rear is highlighted by a large privacy glass on the rear windshield and LED tail-lamps. Cladding on the body is in line with its crossover-ish looks. The Kia Soul EV images show it boxy semblance and rugged looks.

Mahindra e-XUV300. The fully-electric iteration of the Mahindra sub-compact SUV is the brand’s first model to feature the battery cells developed by LG Chem expressly for use in India. The new Mahindra eXUV300 looks similar to the subcompact SUV that is currently on sale in the country. However, it gets the new Mahindra Electric grille with the X motif that will remain standard across all the electric cars we will see from the brand in the future. The newly launched eKUV100 also gets the same grille at the front. In addition, expect to see a number of changes
