Hero MotoCorp has launched India’s first BS6 bike, the new Splendor iSmart BS6. The Hero Splendor iSmart come with new BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) emission regulations and Fi (fuel injection) and new diamond frame. The new engine sits within a new diamond frame, and Hero has also increased suspension travel by 15mm and wheelbase by 36mm which should allow for a more comfortable and stable ride. The ground clearance of the new Hero Splendor iSmart is rated at 180 mm, to take on any kind of roads, and rough terrain. The new bike features the idle start stop system, called the i3S system, with added emphasis on fuel efficiency.

Hero Splendor iSmart BS6 is powered by a new 113.2cc, single cylinder, OHC, Fi, BS6 engine puts out 9.1 Ps of maximum power at 7500 rpm and 9.89 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed transmission. The engine sits within a new diamond frame, and Hero has also increased suspension travel by 15mm and wheelbase by 36mm which should allow for a more comfortable and stable ride. The new Hero Splendor iSmart also gets increased ground clearance, up from 165mm to 180mm. Hero Splendor iSmart BS6 has been equipped with a Integrated Braking System (IBS) as per the new safety regulations.

The ground clearance of the new Splendor iSmart is rated at 180 mm, to take on any kind of roads, and rough terrain. The newly designed BS6 engine offers 10 per cent more torque across the rev range than the outgoing model.
