Kawasaki Versys 650 India launch on December 24th

Kawasaki India will launch the new Versys 650 adventure motorcycle in the Indian market on December 24th. The new Motorcycle will be the third 650cc motorcycle from the Japanese bikemaker in India and the first CKD offering to get ABS
 

The Versys 650 is built around a double pipe diamond frame, which is based on the Ninja 650’s versatile platform. Powering the bike is a 649cc fuel-injected parallel-twin engine, delivering 68bhp and 64Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The suspension setup is made of 41mm adjustable Showa forks upfront and an offset monoshock with preload adjustability for the rear. Stopping power for the front wheel is provided by dual 300mm petal discs with two-piston callipers, while the rear wheel gets a lone 250mm petal disc with a single-piston calliper. ABS is offered as a standard fitment. 

The Kawasaki Versys 650 will be brought in via the CKD route to India and will be the fifth motorcycle to be locally assembled in India after the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Z250, Ninja 650 and the ER-6n. Kawasaki hasn’t announced the pricing yet but through our sources Talking Trendo has found out that the bike will carry am on road price of Rs 6.75 lakh in Mumbai and in India at Rs 6.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
