Design & Features

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Mahindra KUV100 Trip compact SUV in India at a price of Rs 5.16 lakh for the bi-fuel (petrol + CNG) variant, and Rs 5.42 lakh for the Diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

Exterior

Exterior design of Mahindra KUV100 is quite impressive, it gets a restyled bumper with a relatively wider air dam. The grille has been tweaked and it is now flanked by new dual-barrel headlamps in nearly the same profile. The all-around cladding is new and looks more muscular than before, and it now rides on 15-inch dual-tone machine-cut alloys. At the rear, the tailgate has been restyled and the same character line now engulfs the tail lamps. Though the tail lamps feature the same profile, they come with a clear lens setup and new graphics. Both the bumpers feature silver faux skid plates.

Interior

Inside the Car, the mahindra KUV100 Trip carries over the all-black interior. The highlight is the addition of a 7-inch infotainment system, which we’re recently seen in the new, range-topping T10 variant of the Mahindra TUV300. The unit is coupled to a four-speaker and two-tweeter setup. Surprisingly, Mahindra has not offered Android Auto/Apple CarPlay in the KUV100 (same as the TUV300), while its arch-rival, the Ingis, packs both.

Engine

The petrol-CNG version of the KUV100 Trip is powered by the 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 motor. In petrol-only guise, this motor is capable of producing 83PS at 5500rpm and 115Nm at 3500-3600rpm. The diesel version is powered by the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 engine which produces 78PS of power and 190Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with a dashboard-mounted gear lever.
