Renault Kiger is a sub-four metre SUV launched in February 2021in the same calendar year. 2021 Kiger comes in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.64 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes upto Rs. 10.09 lakh. This is also one of affordable Petrol Automatic SUV car under 10 lakh price bracket available in India. The Renault Kiger is based on the CMFA+ platform that also underpins the Triber, Kwid and the Nissan Magnite. Renault Kiger is a 5-seater SUV car which comes with in four trims – RxE, RxL, RxT and RxZ. The Renault Kiger bookings have also commenced at 500+ sales outlets of the automobile manufacturer across India. The customers can book the new sub-4metre compact SUV segment through the Renault India website as well. The booking amount is Rs 11,000. The entire 2021 Kiger range, from the entry-level RXE trim to the top-spec RXZ trim, gets dual-tone paint option. For the dual-tone colour choice, the customers will have to pay Rs 20,000 more. The Renault Kiger is available with two engine options – a 72hp, 1.0-litre, naturally aspirated petrol and a 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. While both engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, the naturally aspirated engine gets the option of a 5-speed AMT while the turbo-petrol gets a 5-step CVT option. Higher variants of the turbo-petrol engine also get drive modes – Normal, Eco and Sports – that alter engine, gearbox and steering response.

From the Exterior, The Renault Kiger is a proper compact SUV and not a Kwid with a higher ride height. The Kiger sports a sculpted bonnet and a large ‘winged’ front grille (with honeycomb-shaped chrome elements) and split, all-LED headlight setup. At the side, Renault has given the Kiger flared wheel arches and a downward sloping roofline that ends in a blacked-out C-pillar.At the rear, there are distinctive C-shaped LED tail-lights and the Kiger also gets a small spoiler element and faux-aluminium skid plate. Apar from, the car also gets functional roof rails, shark fin antenna and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels to enhance its sporty look.
