The Versys X 300 is the entry-level adventure motorcycle from Kawasaki. It looks purpose built, with a high set fairing, a tall windscreen and knuckle guards. It gets standard accessories like two fog lamps, frame crash bar and a hard pannier. Kawasaki Versys X 300 feels a bit dated in terms of features as it gets a headlamp with halogen setup and analog digital instrument console.

Design and Features:

The Versys X-300 gets a long-travel suspension and upright riding position thanks to the relaxed placement of the footpegs and the wider handlebar. It also sports a tall windscreen to ensure minimum windblast. The Versys-X 300 rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with 100/90 and 130/80 section tyres respectively. The bike sports a low seat height of 812 mm making the bike accessible to shorter riders as well. The Versys-X 300 is a CKD assembled at the company’s new plant in Chakan. This should have helped keep the price low.

Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is powered by a 296cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, parallel-twin and fuel-injected engine that produces 38.7 Bhp of power at 11500 rpm and 25.7 Nm of torque at 10000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper Clutch. The Versys’ ability to handle rough roads and gravel tracks looks promising. Adding to the touring chops is a generous 17-litre fuel tank, meaning less frequent fuel stops. The Ground clearance is a usable 180 mm while seat height is an approachable 815 mm with a kerb weight of 184 kg.
