Honda City Hybrid: Honda Cars India on Thursday unveiled the new City e:HEV, the hybrid electric version of its popular sedan Honda City. This car will run on petrol as well as electric. This car will be launched in early May. Very advanced technology has been used in the car. The design of the car is also stylish. The price of the new Honda City hybrid sedan can be kept between Rs 22-25 lakh (ex-showroom). In the mid-size sedan segment, it will compete with the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Skoda Slavia and powerful 1.5-litre turbo variants of the Volkswagen Vertus. Upcoming Hybrid Honda Exterior Design
In terms of design and styling, it looks similar to the Honda City RS available in the global market. The sporty black treatment has been given on its front grille, ORVMs and rear spoiler. Black theme has been given in its cabin and contrast red highlights have also been given to give a sporty look.
Upcoming Hybrid Honda Interior
Many great features are available in the 2022 Honda City Hybrid sedan. An 8-speaker system has been given in the cabin of the car. It gets an 8.0-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a smart key system, Amazon Echo and Google Assistant along with the latest Honda Connect app, which supports smartwatches with voice command function on select smartwatch models. The driver display is fully digital and it also gets auto lock function.
Hybrid Honda City Launch Date
Honda Motors India is all set to launch its upcoming and most-awaiting car “2022 Honda Hybrid” in the month of May, 2022 probably. As per the media reports Hybrid Honda City will launch at the Early May Month 2022.
Upcoming Hybrid Honda City Engine
Coming to the hybrid power train, the City E: HEV is powered by a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine that produces 126 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque combined. The engine works as a generator to charge the battery. While it can also run on Pure EV Mode or ICE Mode, which the computer switches on automatically. New City E: HEV gives mileage of 26.5 kmpl. Also the top speed of the car is 176 kmph.
