Czech Republican car maker Skoda Auto India has launched the 7 seater Kodiaq in India. The car is equipped with safety features like door edge protector, which protects its gate from damage.
The company first introduced this full size SUV in 2017. As soon as the 2023 Kodiaq was launched, 759 units of it have been sold in 24 hours. Keeping in view the demand, the company has now increased the number of allotment of vehicles. Skoda will now allot 750 Kodiaq cars to customers every quarter.
HIGHLIGHTS:-
The rear spoiler has been extended with an extra finlet to improve the aero dynamics of the car. Apart from this, large lounge steps and outer headrests have also been provided for the passengers in the second row of the car. The car is available in 3 variants Style, Sportline and L&K. The price of Kodiaq starts from Rs.37.99 Lakh, which goes up to Rs.41.39 Lakh for the top variant. Prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
2023 Skoda Kodiaq: Exterior Design
The car has been designed to run in all kinds of conditions. The height of the car can be reduced by 15mm. The company’s signature grille has been given at the front of the car. LED projector headlamps have been given on either side of it. There are 18-inch alloy wheels on the side. LED taillamps are available in the rear.
For connectivity, the MySKODA ConnectED app has been given in Kodiaq. The car gets an 8-inch infotainment system that supports navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also gets USB-C ports and wireless phone charging for the passengers on the front and rear seats. For entertainment, it also gets a Canton 625W 12-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.

Talking about the interior of the car, At the center of the dashboard is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt navigation and wireless connectivity. The doors are fitted with a 12-speaker Canton sound system. Behind the steering wheel is a large 10.25-inch digital driver display. It will get three modes in automatic climate control. The car gets ventilated front seats, which come with leather seat upholstery and integrated headrests. The headrests are adjustable in 12 ways. The front seats of the car come with a 12-way electrically adjustable option.

For safety features, the car has received a full 5 star rating in Euro NCAP. It is also the safest car in its segment. The car comes with advanced features like 9 airbags, adaptive LED headlights, automatic dimming and defogging, brake assist, stability control, hands-free parking, 360-degree camera and parking assistant.
2023 Skoda Kodiaq: Engine Specification
The Skoda Kodiaq has been given an updated 2.0 TSI EVO turbo petrol engine as per the BS-6 Phase-2 norms, generating 188 bhp power and 320 nm torque. The engine is tuned with a 7 speed automatic gearbox. This engine is 4.2% more fuel efficient than the previous model.
The car can also run on E-20 petrol. The car can accelerate to 100 Kmph in 7.8 seconds. The car has 6 driving modes Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual and Snow. The car supports 4×4 system.
