Korean Car Manufacturer company, Kia has unveiled buch of cars at Auto Expo 2020 which it plans to roll out in the Indian market in coming months. While the Carnival is the biggest recent launch of the MPV segment and lot more, a new concept car unveiled by Kia ups the benchmark in compact SUV battle. Kia Motors has unveiled a more rugged version of their best-selling model of Seltos, named ‘Seltos X-Line’.
On the other hand the British Carmaker company, MG also unveiled its much popular car MG Hector’s updated version the Hector Plus to make the battle tought in segment of premium SUVs in the Indian market. So we have some quick comparison of both upcoming SUVs below.
Kia Seltos X-line vs MG Hector Plus – Design
Exterior:- From the outside, Kia Seltos X-Line looks more rugged variant of the Seltos, Kia’s best-selling car in India. The X-Line gets a new aggressive front and roof rails which accentuate the masculine feeling of the Seltos. The new X-Line comes with a number of updates, including revised front and rear bumpers, skid plates. The new Seltos X-line also comes with a number of cosmetic updates, including a new ‘Gun-Metal Grey’ paint scheme with ‘S E L T O S’ badging on the front bonnet, side and rear profile as well. The X-line also featured with a dual-tone paint scheme along with copper-coloured contrasting highlights on the front and rear faux air vents.
MG Hector Plus, it comes with a host of changes to the exteriors and interiors. Compared to the MG Hector, the MG Hector Plus has a more captivating exterior design. While the shape and proportions are the same, the front and rear fascias are a bit different. The new model flaunts a more elegantly designed chrome-studded radiator grille, distinctive split headlamps and tweaked rear combination lamps with a more sophisticated styling and enhanced visibility. There are changes to the bumper as well with tweaked and features revised skid plate.
Interior:- Seltos X-line, apart from the exterior cosmetic updates and certain changes to the interiors as well. The Kia Seltos X-line interior looks quite luxurious and sporty at the same time. The SUV certainly boats of its 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with UVO connectivity with 37 Smart features, voice command, steering-mounted controls, ARKAMYS sound system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the rear seats of the SUV can also recline so that rear occupant can find their comfortable position.
On the other hand, The cabin of the new MG Hector Plus has three rows, in comparison to Hector’s two. There are a couple of seating configurations — 6 (2+2+2) and 7 (2+3+2). The seat upholstery seems more premium in the Hector Plus. The new vehicle borrows the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Hector. All the features will be revealed at the time of the Hector Plus launch.
