The iconic Mustang nameplate will reportedly be making a return to the Indian market later this year or in the early months of 2021. Ford introduced the Mustang way back in 2016 locally and it was well received despite sold in batches. Brought into the country via CBU route, the Blue Oval has sold more than 450 units of the Mustang and it could be craving for more with the facelift. The Mustang facelift will once again come in GT variant only and will sport quite a few changes in comparison to the earlier model that was sold in India, But Ford added more safety equipment to the Mustang facelift and did not stop there. It also gave the car improvements on the outside and inside.

New Ford Mustang 2021 – Exterior
Visually, the facelift Mustang gets a slew of updates for better aerodynamics and performance. The front fascia gets a lowered bonnet with integrated air vents, remastered front grille which now looks slimmer, and a reprofiled front bumper. Also new on the list will be the restyled headlamps which give it an even more sporty look. Coming onto the rear-end, it now features a new bumper and diffuser. Moreover, it also uses a new 19-inch alloy wheel design which is available in three new finishes. Also, it will be available in three additional exterior paint shades including blue, orange and red.

On the inside, changes include an all-new digital instrument cluster. You get the traditional dials, of course, but there’s also a Track mode with a race carlike horizontal tachometer taking center stage. Here, shift lights prompt you to go up a gear if you are in manual mode. On the main touchscreen, you get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the quality of the screen has been improved as well. While there’s no big improvement in the quality of the basic plastic bits, there are some improvements in areas like the trim on the doorpads and quality of the seats.
