The Honda Africa Twin is a dual-sport motorcycle made by Honda in three versions, 1988 to 1989 as the 650 cc (40 cu in) V-twin XRV650, then from 1990 to 2003 as the 750 cc (46 cu in) V-twin XRV750T, and then from 2016 to present as the 1,000 cc (61 cu in) parallel-twin CRF1000L.

Honda Africa Twin Overview: The Africa Twin comes with the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), switchable rear ABS; which allows ABS to be switched off for the rear wheel and traction control, both offering different modes for different conditions. Traction control has four settings, off and levels 1-3. Level 1 is the most aggressive while level 3 is easy on the rider. The Africa Twin’s 21-inch front wheel with its inverted cartridge type, fully adjustable, Showa 43mm upside-down front forks provides enormous suspension travel of 230mm – the largest in its class. The rear shock also features a fully adjustable Showa with an 18-inch wheel to handle all sorts of terrain with a range of rebound and compression settings. The motorcycle has a class-leading 250mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 860mm. The Africa Twin with a fuel tank capacity of 23-litres has a kerb weight of 208kg – 222kg.

Honda Africa Twin Specifications: The engine powering the bike is a 999.11cc, 4-stroke, 8-valve twin parallel cylinder engine producing 87.16 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 91.9 NM @ 6000 rpm. The engine power is enough to make the bike easy on any surface, with more thanks to the 6 speed manual gearbox on the basic variant. Africa Twin also gets 2-Channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
