Renault has launched the BS6-compliant Kwid hatchback in India at Rs 2.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in January month of earlier of this year. The price of the entry-level hatchback has been increased by Rs 9,000. While the entry-level variant is available at Rs 2.92 lakh, the top-end model now costs Rs 5.01 lakh. The BSVI compliant Renault Kwid is available with the same petrol engines, however, the engines have been updated to meet the more stringent emission norms. The entry-level variants are fitted with the 0.8-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 54bhp of power and 72Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Climber and higher Kwid variants are fitted with 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 68bhp of power and 91Nm of torque.

At the front, the new Tiago resembles the Altroz, since the bonnet of the car has been raised. The car gets a revised bumper which makes it comply with the upcoming pedestrian protection norms, set to come into effect in October. The hatch also gets a new piano black grille which features tri-arrow elements. The tail design is modern and fresh with the horizontal tail lamps. Body coloured bumpers are standard on the Tiago and so is the rear spoiler. Alloy wheels, wing mirrors with turn indicators, rear wash and wipe function are all available only on the top spec XZ variant.
