Volkswagen has launched the new T-Roc few months back in the Indian market, its second SUV in 2020, priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom, pan-India). Imported as a CBU, the T-Roc sits under the Tiguan Allspace but will sit above the upcoming Taigun SUV that is due next year. As with the Tiguan Allspace, the T-Roc is being brought into India under the 2,500 cars import rule. Deliveries for the Volkswagen T-Roc will begin mid-April 2020. Whether it was the attractive price or the long list of features, Volkswagen managed to sell off all the units of the T-Roc in India, which had received an overwhelming response at its launch. The German carmaker has confirmed that the current batch of the T-Roc has been sold out, as a result, it had to close its order books.

Visually, The T-Roc looks distinctive with its broad shoulders, large wheel arches, sloping rear windscreen, and rectangular LED elements that sit below the headlamps. The wide grille looks very attractive and has the VW logo in the centre. The projector twin headlamps are sleek looking ones. It will have daytime running LEDs too. The stylish bumper has fog lamps placed below. There is scuff plate too at the bottom. The side is slightly boxy looking and gets some body cladding, attractive alloy wheels and a sloping roofline.

Available in a single fully-loaded trim, Volkswagen has packed in a fair bit of equipment in the T-Roc. The kit includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen (that is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible), full-LED headlamps and tail-lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof and ‘Vienna’ leather seats.
