The well-known North Indian restaurant by The Claridges is as famous for its unique highway eatery ambience as it is for its delectable cuisine. The remarkable décor of the restaurant is inspired by a typical North Indian eatery around the highway with rustic wooden tables and chairs, natural flooring, thatched ceiling, traditional pickle containers and an old radio playing timeless Hindi classics. The much appreciated signature dishes at the restaurant include Tandoori Kebabs, Balti Meat, Baingan Ka Bharta and Chef’s special Thali.

True to its name, the restaurant has all the rustic accents that you would probably find in a roadside eatery – from lanterns for lights, to a central counter where big vessels were kept. There were achaar ki burnis, an ancient-looking radio, even a section of a truck, thrown in for good measure. All this is air-conditioned comfort so that you don’t miss the highway and the honking vehicles that come with it!
I would recommend getting a reservation, as the place was full and there were several people who had to wait because of the rush.
