Honda Brio Overview

Honda Brio was launched in back 2011, aiming to stand up in small car segment in India instead of sedan. After launched the Brio got much response much needed for Honda. Honda Brio is the second car in its line-up after Jazz. The reason of get popular in a short period of Brio is a very modern-looking car and appeals to the 21st century buyer in more than one ways. The price, value, space, good comfort and of-course Honda badging. The only weak point of this hatchback petrol engine option only. In 2016 the Brio gets first upgrade for boost their sales figures after 5 years since launch. Being a compact car with a light steering and an added option of an automatic gearbox makes the Brio a very attractive proposition for a hassle-free city commuter. 

Honda Brio Engine Specification

The Honda Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine which produces 88PS of power and 109Nm of torque. There are two transmission options to choose from – a 5-speed manual or 5-speed Automatic. Claimed fuel efficiency stands at 16.5kmpl for the auto and 18.5kmpl for the manual.

Honda Brio Exterior

The front fascia is new with the aggressive three-part bumper design from the Amaze. The thick horizontal slat on the grille is blacked out with a chrome underline. The headlamps though remain untouched. The side profile is exactly the same but comes with new alloys. There were speculations about safety owing to the large glass tailgate but the design has been continued with no reports of any related incidences. The rear bumper does get a nip and a tuck for a fresher look.

Honda Brio Interior

On the inside, the dashboard is entirely new and has been sourced from the Amaze. It gets the Honda City-like layout with rectangular vents and a centre console with the infotainment system and air conditioning controls. While the dashboard is black across the trims, the E and S trims get beige interiors while the top-spec VX gets black interior. It still misses out on a touch-screen option for the entertainment system but gets automatic climate control and height adjustable driver seat.
