The Verna became the first car by Hyundai that boasts of supreme designing and sporty exterior. Talking about its interiors, its three spoke steering wheel, central console and instrument cluster are delighting. The Verna has all the latest high-tech entertainment, transmission and safety features which make it the best in its class. The Verna overall makes a car that can be driven the way you like. It is great on comfort but has high speed stability issues. Though it performs well on corners but isn’t the best.

Chevrolet Cruze is absolutely a delight to behold. It’s out-and-out stylish from each and every inch. As regards its interiors, they are matched with its stunning outside appearance. The cabin boasts of space and luxury. The major features of the Cruze are PEPS – Passive Entry and Passive start with push button start stop button, stylish front fog lamps, telescopic steering, smart screen display and stunning chrome door handles.

Performance:

The Hyundai Verna comes in both petrol and diesel variants. Its petrol engine again comes in two set of tunings. With its 1.4 Litre VTVT MPFI petrol engine, it offers the maximum power of 107 Bhp at 6300 rpm and torque of 135 Nm at 5000 rpm. Contrastingly, the 1.6 Litre VTVT MPFI petrol engine produces power of 123 Bhp at 6300 rpm and torque of 156 Nm at 4200 rpm respectively. The ARAI certified mileage for 1.4 Litre petrol version is 17.43 kmpl while for the 1.6 Litre version is 17.01 kmpl.

As far as the diesel variants are concerned, they also come in 1.4 Litre and 1.6 Litre CRDI engine options. The 1.4 Litre engine offers the maximum power of 90 Bhp at 4000 rpm and torque of 224 Nm at 1750 – 2750 rpm, while the 1.6 Litre engine produces power of 128 Bhp at 4000 rpm and torque of 265 Nm at 1900 – 2750 rpm. The ARAI certified mileage for 1.4 Litre diesel version is 24.35 kmpl while for the 1.6 Litre version is 24.8 kmpl. You will get transmission options of 4 speed Automatic and 5 speed Manual in both petrol and diesel variants.

Talking about Chevrolet Cruze, it offers a 1998 cc VCDi engine with Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) mechanism for better control of engine valve timings. With improved engine configuration, tuning, DOCH valve train and other improvements, Its total power output is 166 Bhp at 3800 rpm and peak torque output is 380 Nm at 2000 rpm. This decent configuration makes it easier to drive in slow traffic without much gearshifts and revving. It has improved the drive quality significantly. This powerful engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, while the automatic variant is coupled to a 6 speed automatic gearbox.
