Finally, Hyundai has launched i20 N-Line in India with the starting price of Rs. 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India). As we reported earlier, Hyundai India unveiled its N-Line concept i20 car for the coming month. Hyundai i20 is an a premium hatchback available in India and enjoying the powerful position since many decades. Hyundai may now look to brought its N Line product here, which it sells abroad. To clarify, the N Line product is inspired by Hyundai’s N performance-focused cars but only comes with cosmetic changes. This is the first ever Sporty division car in India. The i20 N Line sporty hatchback available in two trims – N6 and N8. The Hyundai i20 N Line rivals directly with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and the Renault Duster.

Hyundai i20 N Line Exterior Design

Visually, The Hyundai i20 N Line based on the standard i20 but more sportier version, However, the brand gives it some subtle changes to help it differentiate from the regular. The i20 N Line gets a redesigned front with in the form of an N Line body kit with aggressive front and rear bumpers and redesigned alloy wheels. It also gets a juicier sounding exhaust. Apart from, the car gets sporty bumpers as well as fog lamps. Other changes include a new textured grille with ‘N’ badging, side skirts, chromed twin-exhausts, triangular rear fog lamp and new dual-tone alloys.

Inside of the car, the i20 N Line gets some unique elements in the cabin. The overall dashboard layout is pretty identical to the standard car. However, the all-black interior has been spiced up with red highlights and red ambient lighting. It also gets a new chequered flag design with N logo for the leatherette seats, sporty metal pedals, a bespoke three-spoke steering wheel and N-branded leather gear knob.

Under the hood, the Hyundai i20 N Line comes with one engine option: which will only offered 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit, with the 120hp, 172Nm. Transmission options include the 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT gearbox. The DCT gearbox now comes with paddle shifters for more driver engagement. However, Hyundai has missed this opportunity to introduce a manual gearbox with the turbo-petrol engine on the i20.
