Hyundai Venue iMT has been launched in India with starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) and Hyundai also launched a Sport trim for the car.
Hyundai has introduced a new ‘clutchless manual’ gearbox, dubbed iMT – or Intelligent Manual Transmission – to its Venue compact SUV in the Indian market. The new iMT gearbox is available in total of 4 variants – SX, SX Sport, SX(O) and SX (O) Sport. Additionally, the Venue now also comes with a new Sport cosmetic pack on all variants SX and upwards, as well as a new S+ variant for the base 1.2-litre petrol engine. The iMT features a Transmission Gear Shift (TGS) Lever with Intention Sensor, Hydraulic Actuator and Transmission Control Unit (TCU). On the other hand, the new Hyundai Venue Sport trim is available with two engine options. There is the Kappa 1.0L Turbo GDi Petrol BS6 which is capable of producing 120PS of maximum power at 6,000rpm and 171Nm of peak torque at 1,500-4,000rpm. For the transmission, there is either a 7-speed DCT or the new iMT.

Visually, the new Sport and iMT gets sport badging, red brake calipers, gloss black front grille with red inserts, dark grey front bumper garnish, dark grey roof with red inserts and red inserts on the wheel arches and side moulding. Depending on the variant, the Hyundai Venue Sport trim comes with various new features such as paddle shifters, D-cut steering wheel with red stitching, sporty metal pedals, red accents on knobs, and many more. Hyundai has also introduced a new dual-tone Titan Grey colour with a Phantom Black roof with the Venue Sport trim.
