Homegrown automaker, Mahindra & Mahindra officially introduced 5 new electric SUVs – XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09 on 16th August 2022. Let us tell you that the Mahindra XUV.e sub-brand will be offered in two brands XUV.e8 and XUV.e9. On the other hand, the BE sub-brand will introduce three models – BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. The first of the all-electric SUVs to be showcased were the XUV.e9 and the XUV.e8. Mahindra’s XUV.e9 is a special product especially as it is the SUV coupe version of the XUV 700 that runs without diesel/petrol. Only the electric car version of the specially designed XUV.e9 will be available. Looking at its design, it is known that it is based on the XUV Aero concept, while earlier it was based on the XUV concept. According to Mahindra, this electric car has been designed in a modern way.
Upcoming Mahindra XUV.e9 Launch Date:
The new XUV.e9 electric SUV will be launched by April 2025. This is an all-new electric model, which comes with a coupe-like design. Dimensionally, the Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV will measure 4,790mm in length, 1,905mm in width and 1,690mm in height. It will be a 5-seater model and will ride on a 2,775mm long wheelbase.

Mahindra XUV.e9 Electric SUV: Battery Specifications
The electric car is expected to get a single motor/rear drive layout model and an 80 kWh battery pack to generate 400 bhp power with the dual motor/AWD layout. Regenerative braking can also be adapted on the XUV.e9 and other Mahindra electric SUVs. The car is expected to come with premium features like V2L charging, wherein the car can be used to charge other electrical appliances and other EVs. Along with this, Augmented Display HUD has also been included along with ADAS technology.

Mahindra XUV.e9 electric EV Design:
Exterior
In terms of design, the headlamps with DRLs are beautifully designed with a sleek surface along the top line of the grille. The XUV.e range of SUVs gets a new Mahindra SUV logo. The wheels have also been given bigger along with the arch. Along with its roof design, the LED tail-lamps and rear have also been changed. Apart from the good ground clearance, this EV gets a smooth black spot under the rear bumper. The XUV.e9 will be built on the Anglo EV platform, which will provide flexibility in terms of space. Interior
The interior of this car is completely different from the XUV, which gets three 12.3-inch displays along with a large digital instrument cluster display. The rest of the dashboard layout, including the rotary knob at the bottom, remains the same as the XUV700. The concept car also gets a two-spoke steering wheel.
