Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its popular hatchback Alto K10. At present, it has been introduced only in a single VXi variant. The ex-showroom price of this car is Rs 5.94 lakh. It is Rs 94,000 more expensive than its regular petrol model.
The company launched the new model of Alto K10 on 18 August. 2022 Alto K10 is bigger than the old Alto. Its engine is of 998cc. Talking about the dimensions of the new Alto K10, it measures 3,530mm in length, 1,490mm in width and 1,520mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,380mm and weighs 1,150kg.
2022 Maruti Alto: Design
Exterior
The Maruti Alto K10 is based on the Heartect platform of Maruti Suzuki. Talking about its look, a black grille with hexagonal mesh has been given in front, while thin and circular headlights are available on both sides. There is a thin air dam at the bottom of the bumper. The Suzuki logo is placed in the middle. It looks very attractive because of the new line and crease.
Interior
Maruti Suzuki has given an all-black theme to the cabin. The dashboard gets a layered design. The center has a floating touchscreen infotainment (Except: VXi). The steering wheel is new, which also gets mounted controls. The new Alto K10 also gets a semi-digital instrument cluster. For safety, the new Maruti Alto K10 has been introduced with dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS and reverse parking sensors.
2022 Maruti Alto: Engine
The Maruti Alto K10 CNG comes with a 1.0-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT petrol engine which is mated to a factory fitted CNG kit. This setup generates 56.69 PS of power at 5,300 rpm and 82.1 Nm of peak torque at 3,400 rpm. This is slightly less than the petrol engine that promises 65.26 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and 89 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The company has introduced the CNG variant with only manual transmission gearbox.

2022 Maruti Alto K10: Mileage
The company claims that its mileage is 33.85 km per kg. Whereas, the Alto K10 petrol manual variant returns a mileage of 24.39 kmpl. The Alto K10 CNG gets a 1.0-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT petrol engine mated to a factory-fitted CNG kit. It is the 13th model in the company’s CNG portfolio.
2022 Maruti Alto: Features
Like the standard VXi petrol variant, the CNG version gets 2-DIN SmartPlay audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, 2 speakers, impact sensing door unlock, central locking, speed sensing auto door locks, manually adjustable wing mirrors, AUX and USB ports, Features like front power windows, roof antenna and body colored door handles are available.
