Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated G-Class line-up in the Indian market, which has been introduced under the names G 400d Adventure and G 400d AMG Line. The German carmaker has replaced the new variant with the G 350d variant.
The price of both the new G 400d variants of the company G-Class is Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom), which is Rs 83 lakh more than the current G 350d. Customers can book this SUV by paying Rs 1.5 lakh. In case of booking, preference will be given to existing Mercedes-Benz Honor. The company will start the delivery of this car in the last quarter of the year.

The company has built this off-roading SUV on its traditional ladder-frame and has given a special G-mode with its off-road driving setup. The car comes with 241mm ground clearance and up to 700MM of water wading capacity.
Used Eco-friendly Material
The company has used components made of high-quality recycled plastic in the G 400d. Apart from this, eco-friendly materials have also been used in the cabin, which include coconut fiber with latex emulsion. Backrest cushioning and wood fiber have been used in the structure of the cabin door panels.
Look & Design
In terms of looks, the AMG Line gets a more sporty appeal with sporty multi-functional steering wheel, multibeam LED headlamps, sporty stainless steel spare wheel cover, underguard in silver, 20-inch standard alloy wheels, Burmester surround sound system, sliding sunroof, ambient lighting in 64 colours, etc.
G 400d Adventure Edition Features
The G 400d Adventure Edition has been specially developed by Mercedes for India. It also gets a number of adventure specific elements like a roof rack, removable ladder at the rear, 5-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and tailgut mounted full size spare wheel.
The G 400d Adventure Edition gets 25 color options, including 4 new exclusive colors – Sand Non-Metallic, Vintage Blue Non-Metallic, Turvertine Badge Metallic and South Ciaz Blue Metallic.
G 400d AMG Line Features
The G 400d AMG Line is the sportier version of the G-Class. These include Nappa leather upholstery, sporty multifunction steering wheel, 20-inch alloy wheels and stainless steel spare wheel cover.
Talking about other features, it also gets features like multibeam LED headlamps, Burmester surround sound system, 64 color ambient lighting and sliding sunroof.
Mercedes-Benz G 400d: Engine Details
In terms of power, the G 400d is powered by a 3-litre OM656 inline 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 330HP of power and 700Nm of torque. This engine is tuned with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The G-Class can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour (KMPH) in just 6.4 seconds and the car can reach a top speed of 210KM.
