MG Baojun 510 – Overview

MG Motor will make its debut in the Indian market with the launch of the Hector SUV. But there are more launches by MG motors, by our sources company not launching the premium SUV alone. Baojun 510-Based SUV will be third distinctive SUV offering from MG that will go on sale in 2020 and is expected to be priced around INR 10 lakh to 15 lakh. Baojun is one of China’s fastest growing vehicle brands. Baojun and MG are brands under the SAIC umbrella and the MG Hector is also branded as the Baojun 530 in markets abroad. This car will be more or less similar to the first offering, Hector by British carmaker. However, it would be smaller in size in comparison to its elder sibling, Hector.

Under the hood of the Baojun 510 is a 1.5L S-TEC III petrol motor which can produce a maximum power of approximately 115 hp. The engine is coupled with a six-speed MT or AMT gearbox.

Exterior

The Baojun 510 was first showcased in 2016 and has received a mid-cycle update last year. Its exterior styling has a close resemblance to its larger sibling. Some of the most prominent outstanding features include the unique ‘Future Eye’ LED DRLs, which makes the face look bold and a twin-light arrangement, which reminds us of the MG Hector.

Interior

In terms of the interior, the Baojun 510 has a bright brown-black two-tone colour paint scheme.
