Japanese automaker Toyota has officially introduced the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz-based Belta sedan for the Middle-East market. The new sedan is basically a re-branded version of the Ciaz sedan, which is sold in the Indian market. Toyota has previously launched rebranded Maruti cars in the Indian markets as well as the South African markets. The company has introduced the Maruti Baleno as the Glanza and the Maruti Vitara Brezza as the Urban Cruiser in the country. Following this path, the company has introduced its new Belta sedan car. The Middle East-spec Toyota Belta is offered as a left-hand-drive (LHD) variant. While the Indian-spec model will be a right-hand-drive (RHD) model. The car is also expected to be launched in the Indian market in the next few months. Because the company has recently discontinued the Yaris sedan. Belta is believed to benefit from the closure of Yaris in the Indian market. It will compete with cars like the All New Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Creta in India. The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has recently been spied testing and there are reports of it coming in color options like Blue, White and Red.
Upcoming Toyota Belta (Ciaz-based) Exterior Design
The new Belta sedan shares the same mechanicals, features list and even the design of the Ciaz sedan. While the only major change in the model is seen in the form of rebranding done in the car. The new Toyota logo can be seen on the front grille, boot and steering wheel of the car. The new Belta, on the other hand, doesn’t get the updated front design offered on the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
Upcoming Toyota Belta (Ciaz-based) Interior
The interior layout and features will be similar to that of the Maruti Ciaz. The interior may get a new color.The front bumper has a subtle update with circular fog lamps and a faux brushed metal finish surround that complement the projector headlamp unit with horizontal LED DRLs. The rear section looks fresh due to a revised bumper and taillights with a new lighting signature. The overall look is complete with a fresh set of alloy wheels.

Toyota India is all set to launch its upcoming and most-awaiting car “Belta” in the next month. As per the media reports Toyota will launch this amazing Sedan at the end of 2021 or early in the 2022.
Upcoming Toyota Belta (Ciaz-based) Engine
The Belta sedan gets the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine found in its Maruti counterpart, the Ciaz. This engine generates maximum power of 105 hp and peak torque of 138 Nm. A 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is available with this engine as an option.
