Car manufacturer company Mahindra is preparing to bring many new electric models to the Indian market in the coming years. Mahindra showcased its upcoming models some time back. Upcoming Mahindra Electric XUV.e8 will feature a batter pack design based on two cell architectures – Blade and Prismatic. The company says that its battery management system will offer better range, safety and robustness.

Upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 Launch Date:

The new XUV.e8 will be the first electric SUV built on a born-electric platform from the brand to go into production. It will hit the Indian market in December 2024. The new car will be based on the INGLO platform, which is a Mahindra Born Electric modular platform.

Mahindra XUV.e8 Electric SUV: Battery Specifications

Mahindra will use an 80kWh battery pack with the XUV.e8. Its power output will be from 335 bhp to 389 bhp. Other details about the powertrain are yet to be revealed.

Upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 EV Dimensions:

The XUV.e8 is huge in proportion. It measures 4,740mm long, 1,900mm wide and 1,760mm tall. Wheelbase is 2,762mm long. It is 45mm longer, 10mm wider and 5mm taller than the XUV700. The wheelbase is also 7mm longer than the XUV700.

Exterior

In terms of design, Mahindra XUV.e8, the concept is the electric version of the XUV700 SUV. Its silhouette, design language and seating are similar to its petrol-diesel model. However, the electric version gets a close-off front grille, LED light bar on the bumper, bumper mounted headlamps, angular stance and a sharper designed bonnet.

Even though it is based on the XUV700, the car gets significant changes that make it look very different. While the final product might look slightly different from what Mahindra showcased, the car still looks very different from the XUV700. However, the rear of the car looks quite similar to the XUV700. Mahindra has changed the bumper design of the XUV.e8.

Interior

Talking about the interiors of the car, no official information has come to the fore yet. Taking what we are expecting in the upcoming XUV.e8, which gets three 12.3-inch displays along with a large digital instrument cluster display. The rest of the dashboard layout, including the rotary knob at the bottom, remains the same as the XUV700. The concept car also gets a two-spoke steering wheel.
