The South Korean automobile company Kia can soon launch the facelift model of its most successful model Seltos SUV in India. The company first launched the Seltos SUV in 2019. Testing of Kia Seltos facelift has started in South Korea. According to media reports, some of its photos have also surfaced. Kia Seltos is one of the best selling SUV in India. In India so far 1.5 lakh units have been sold in two years. In the photo that has surfaced, it can be seen that it has been covered with a black cloth during testing. Only the windscreen, windows, LED headlights can be seen in the photo.
2022 Kia Seltos facelift Exterior and Interior:
The Kia facelift will also be developed on the company’s new design philosophy opposite United, on which the Kia Cars is also based. If media reports are to be believed, the upcoming Kia facelift can get revised headlamps, updated DRLs, revised grille, better front bumper and more attractive grilles, updated taillight as well as many new things. On the other hand, talking about the interior, there will not be much change in it. Along with the new color scheme, the Kia Seltos facelift can see many more special things including better connected car features, panoramic sunroof, air purifier, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. At the same time, engine and power as well as transmission options can also be the same as the current model.
2022 Kia Seltos facelift Engine:
The new Seltos in its new avatar could ditch the diesel engine. As per reports, Kia may include a hybrid version of the Seltos that will use the same engine as the newly launched Niro hybrid model. The 1.6-litre petrol engine is mated to an electric motor with a combined output of 140 hp and 265 Nm of peak torque. However, it is not yet confirmed whether Kia will bring the hybrid model to India as well. Apart from the hybrid unit, the 2022 Kia Seltos is likely to be offered with the same petrol engine as the other existing models. Kia offers Seltos in three powertrains in India. Apart from the 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit, there is a 1.5-litre petrol and a diesel unit. Transmission work is handled by either a 6-speed manual or automatic, 7-speed automatic and IMT gearbox.
