BMW India has launched the new premium variant of its X3 diesel range in India, the X3 xDrive 20d M Sport. The company has kept the ex-showroom price of this variant of the premium SUV segment car at Rs 69.90 lakh. It is Rs 2.6 lakh more expensive than the current 20d luxury variant. Along with this, the company has discontinued the petrol variant of the X3.

While companies are discontinuing diesel variants of cars. The X3 was earlier offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 252hp power and an 8-speed automatic transmission option, which BMW has discontinued. This makes the X3 the only SUV in its segment not to offer a petrol engine.

Talking about its look and design, The exterior design of the M Sport looks more stylish than the X3 20d Luxury Edition with sporty front and rear bumpers. Apart from this, blacked-out roof rails and diffuser, 20-inch alloy wheels with blue brake calipers and blacked-out frame around all four windows give the car an aggressive look. The new X3 xDrive 20d M Sport gets adaptive LED headlamps, LED taillights. The car gets Black Sapphire, Sophisto Gray Brilliant Effect, Phytonic Blue and Mineral White color options.

The car has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder twin power turbo diesel engine, which generates 190 HP power and 400 Nm torque. For transmission, the engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Apart from this, the option of all-wheel drive is also available. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h in 8 seconds. The car returns a mileage of 16.55 kmpl.
