Toyota said that the Toyota Mirai FCEV will be built at the Toyota Kirloskar Motors plant in Karnataka. It was presented to the world for the first time in December 2020. The car is claimed to come with a fuel filling time of five minutes. It can run up to 646 km on a full tank.
What is Flex-fuel ?
Flex-fuel is an alternative to petrol-diesel in a way. That’s why it is also called alternative fuel. It is prepared from a mixture of gasoline and methanol or ethanol. Flex comes from the English word flexible. Flex engines will run on flex fuel. Flex engine means that it can run on other fuels without any problem.
The Ethanol and Methanol that are being talked about to be mixed in the fuel are a kind of bio products. They are prepared from sugarcane, maize and other agri waste. Its cost will also be less because it will cost less to prepare. If flex fuel engines are made, such fuels can be used.
