Ford has launched the Freestyle Flair Edition at an introductory price of Rs. 7.69 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 8.79 lakhs for the diesel variant (all prices, ex-showroom). This is Rs. 30,000/- over the Titanium+ variant. The festive season in India has begun and Ford has kicked off the expected slew of new or special models by launching a new Flair variant of the Freestyle. On the Other hand Honda also upgrade its Jazz hatchback car with mandatory emission standard. We brought to you a quick comparison between these two premium hatchbacks. However, this segment completely dominated by Hyundai i20 since the decades and we are expecting some interesting fight.

Ford Freestyle Flair Edition vs 2020 Honda Jazz – Design:
Exterior
From the Exterior, The Design of the Freestyle has not changed with the Flair edition. Ford has given new graphics on the doors and the tailgate, the roof rails and ORVMs come in red, so do the skid plate inserts, while the new alloys come in black, like the roof. The doors have been given new decals with the word ‘Flair’ scribbled towards the rear. The black and red theme is maintained here as well, with a bit of grey thrown in to make things interesting.
The updated Jazz 2020 also gets minor styling revisions, including new front bumper, new chrome detailing around the gloss black front grille, and a set of full-LED headlamps and LED fog lamps. The tail-lamps too get the LED treatment. At the rear, there is a new LED “Wing Light” and a new bumper. Overall, the hatchback has been designed to look sportier than the pre-facelift model. The 2020 Honda Jazz BS6 will be the only car in its segment to offer steering-wheel mounted dual mode ‘paddle shift’ for CVT variants.
Interior
Interior of the Freestyle Flair sport new black and grey upholstery. The red and black theme continues inside with contrasting red accents on black door handles. The seats too will feature the “Flair” badge and have contrast red stitching. Like the Titanium+ variant, the Flair variant of the Freestyle gets the FordPass system that allows you to remotely check on the vehicle using your smartphone.
One of the biggest additions with this update is the new electric sunroof, making the Jazz the only hatchback in its segment to be equipped with one. Other features include a touchscreen, cruise control, push-button start and keyless entry, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear wiper and wash, and the aforementioned paddle-shifters for the automatic version. Apart from that, Car Cabin space is generous, allowing five adults to be accommodated comfortably.
