All-new Kia Sonet subcompact SUV from the South Korean carmaker has finally made its global debut in India. It’s the second ‘made-in-India’ model from Kia in the country, following the Kia Seltos. The carmaker says that the Sonet “has a distinctive and dynamic design” along with several first-in-segment features. On the Other hand, A Spanish automobile manufacturer company, SEAT has taken off the all new-Arona SUV car for the Indian market. The Arona SUV car already showcased at the Frankfurt show in 2018. Kia Sonet vs SEAT Arona – Design:
Exterior
Kia Motors India has started the pre-bookings for the Sonet on since August 20. The Sonet can be pre-booked at any Kia dealership or through the automaker’s official website on payment of a token amount of Rs 25,000. While the compact SUV made its global premiere on August 7, it will be launched in India next month. Like the Kia Seltos, the Kia Sonet follows the dual trim concept of Tech Line and GT Line. It boasts of features like tiger-nose grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, LED tail lamps and 16-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels.
From the Exterior, The SEAT Arona car has a pair of sharp, triangular, LED headlights dominates the front with Seat grille and large air intakes. It sports faux skid plates both fore and aft, and roofrails with body cladding to give it that rugged crossover appearance. The contrast roof paired with stylish alloy wheels adds character. The car will establish its highly lucrative SUV segments in the country with its VW and Skoda brands.
Interior
The Kia Sonet cabin is also feature-rich and gets 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control and sunroof. Among the segment-first features are 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with navigation and live traffic, ventilated driver and front-passenger seats, smart pure air purifier with virus protection, Bose seven-speaker audio with sub-woofer, LED sound mood lighting, wireless smartphone charger with cooling function, remote engine start, OTA map updates and multi-drive and traction modes.
The interior is functional as all Seat vehicles go, with an all-black treatment. The centre console is slightly tilted towards the driver and the cabin can be had with contrasting inserts as well to add a little appeal to otherwise simple interiors. The eight-inch infotainment system is equipped with smartphone connectivity and also comes with wireless phone charging facility. The car cabin well spacious and enough for four adult seating.
