Appearance:
The Ford EcoSport has been applauded for its aerodynamic designing. Its 16” alloy wheel design and the overall muscular stance make it really impressive. It has a spare wheel attached to the back door, which gives it a sporty look. The EcoSport also offers decent ground clearance. If we talk about interiors, the cabin is done up in all-black theme with silver inserts. It boasts of a SYNC interface system designed by Microsoft. It also has a voice command system that manages your phone and music system via Bluetooth. Its steering wheel is light and sensitive that provides good handling quality. It has got pretty impressive safety features like ABS with EBD, Front, side and curtain airbags, senses the crash and auto unlock the door, rear parking sensors and one totally different concept called Emergency assist. Ford EcoSport overall is very comfortable and it functions both like an SUV and a Hatchback.
On the other hand, the Ertiga is a real SUV that offers loads of space along with tough looks. As far as space is concerned, it is a winner that can seat upto 7 people at a time. However, reaching the last row is a little wacky. And on folding it, you get enough boot space. Ertiga’s road handling quality is very stable. Its MacPherson Strut suspension handles the potholes and bumps fantastically. In fact, the people sitting at the end would also be comfortable even at rough roads. Regarding safety features, the Ertiga has only two airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with EBD and good braking system.
Performance:
The EcoSport comes in a 1.5 litre Diesel, 1.5 litre Petrol, and 1.0 litre 999cc turbo Petrol engine. It offers high power and torque coupled with better fuel efficiency. Its 1.5 litre diesel engine delivers the maximum power of 91 PS at 3750 rpm and torque of 204 Nm at 2000-2750 rpm. As regards its 1.5-litre Ti VCT, 4-cylinder based petrol engine, it offers power of 110 Bhp at 6300 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 4400 rpm; while the EcoBoost engine generates up to 123 bhp.
The LUV, Life Utility Vehicle, as it has been claimed by the Maruti Suzuki, comes in petrol and diesel variants. Its 1.4-litre K-series petrol engine generates a maximum power of 94bhp at 6000rpm and torque of 130Nm at 4000rpm, while the 1.3 multi-jet diesel engine generates the maximum power of about 89bhp and 200 NM of torque. With its petrol engine, it delivers an average mileage of 16kmpl while offers 20kmpl with the diesel one.
