Popular car manufacturer Hyundai Motors is going to launch a new full size SUV soon. The new SUV has been developed by Hyundai in collaboration with the Chinese company BAIC and the new SUV coming under the joint venture has been unveiled. The SUV has been named Hyundai Mufasa. Hyundai will launch Musafa first in the Chinese market. Musafa will be a large size SUV equipped with many advanced features.

Hyundai’s Mufasa SUV has been kept bigger than the Creta. In this case, it can be positioned above the Creta and in between the Mufasa. In the Indian market, this SUV will compete with SUVs like Mahindra’s Scorpio, XUV700, MG Hector.

The name of this new SUV is said to be inspired by Disney’s famous animated film ‘The Loyal King’ character ‘Mufasa’. It is possible that the company will first introduce this SUV in the Chinese market, after which it will be launched for sale in other markets. The SUV is positioned between the Hyundai Creta (iX25 in China) and the Hyundai Tucson in the global market. However, due to the sporty look and coupe style design, this SUV will mainly attract the youth.

It gets the same wheelbase as the Hyundai Tucson. Its weight is around 1500 kg. At present, the company has not given any information on this. But two engine options have been given in it. In addition, the Mufasa Adventure SUV gets a lift kit and a set of big and wide grippy off-road tyres, which are fitted with custom-made 18-inch alloy wheels. Also, its high ground clearance and wide track give it a proper stance for off-roading.

Interior

At present, the company has not given any information about the interior of this car. But it is expected that this SUV will be brought with dual touchscreen display apart from the infotainment system and instrument cluster.

The Hyundai Mufasa measures the same wheelbase length as the Euro-spec Tucson with a length of 4,475 mm, width of 1,850 mm and height of 1,665 mm. This indicates the scale of weight to be close to 1,500 kg. The company has not shared much technical information about this car at the moment. This car is also going to be seen at the 2023 Auto Shanghai Show in the coming days. The Hyundai Mufasa was spied as an off-road concept late last month and is heavily influenced by the Tucson.
