Kia India has launched its first electric car EV6. This is the latest electric car to be launched in the Indian market and with this, now Kia is also present with its electric car. The Kia EV6 has been officially launched in the Indian car market with a starting price of Rs 59.95 lakhs, Ex-showroom. This electric car has been launched in two variants, which include GT RWD and AWD version. The Ex-showroom price of the top-spec model is Rs 64.96 lakh. Let’s know the details of this car below.

Driving Range: Kia EV6

Both variants of the Kia EV6 will get a 77.4 kWh battery pack, which can easily go up to 500 km on a full charge. You can charge the Kia EV6 up to 80% in just 18 minutes with the help of 350 kW DC fast charger.

CBU Route: Kia EV6

It is worth noting that only 100 units of the Kia EV6 are being brought to India for the same financial Year, but all 100 units have been sold before its launch. The company said that Kia had already received 355 bookings for the EV6. The deliveries of the first unit of the EV6 will start from September this year.

5-star Safety Rating

This is Kia’s first and flagship electric car in the country. In the Indian market, this model will be sold through the CBU (completely built up) route and then later assembled at the company’s local plant. Ahead of the launch of this electric car, ANCAP has given a 5-star rating to the EV6 in its recent crash test.

350kW Fast Charging Support

As for charging, the EV6 can accept a very fast 350kW DC charge, allowing the battery to go from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, and on a 50kW fast charger, the battery will take 73 minutes for the same level of charge. For home charging, the Kia EV6 comes with a 22kW wall box charger as standard, though the charging time for the same has not been released. Along with this, Kia has installed 150 kW DC fast chargers across 15 of its dealerships.

The EV6 has been introduced in India with a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The company has given a 22kW charger as standard with this car. Along with this, the company has launched this car with a battery warranty of 3 years / unlimited km and 8 years / 1.60 lakh km. The Kia EV6 is offered in rear wheel drive and all wheel drive versions. The rear wheel drive generates a maximum power of 226 Bhp from a single motor, while the all wheel drive is capable of producing 321 Bhp of power from four motors. This car achieves the speed of 0 to 100 in just 5.2 seconds.

Exterior Design: Kia EV6

In In terms of look and design, the Kia EV6 has been introduced in a new look, which comes with the crossover design theme. At the same time, with a length of 4.7 meters, the Kia EV6 is going to be a bigger vehicle. On the exterior, you get to see features like sharp lines on the body, LED lights and digital tiger nose grille, while its tall bonnet and large window glass make it attractive. At the front, it has a tiger nose grille with turn indicators, LED headlamps and tail lights. At the same time, the alloy wheels of the car enhance its look. According to the Indian market, its ground clearance has been kept at 170mm i.e. more than anywhere else in the world.

In terms of cabin features, the Kia EV6 gets an all-black interior with black suede seats and Wigan leather bolsters, which is large enough to seat 5 people.
