- MC20 super can deliver a mileage of 8.2 kmpl
- Does 0-100kph in a claimed 2.9sec: top-speed limited to 325kph
Let us tell you, this price is before any customer selects the car. And unlike the MC12, which was based on the Ferrari Enzo, the MC20 is an all-new model. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 325 kmph. The MC20, on the other hand, can stop at a speed of 100 kmph in less than 33 metres. Italy’s luxury vehicle manufacturer Maserati first launched the MC20 supercar globally in the year 2020.
Although the Maserati MC20 was awaited for a long time, according to media reports quoting dealership sources, the first units of the car could be delivered in the month of May. So let’s see how this car is:
Look & Design
The design of the MC20 is clearly inspired by the original MC12, and sports a traditional sports-coupe silhouette. The butterfly doors make the car look even more spectacular once it is opened. The improved aerodynamics and sleek flowing lines give the supercar a formidable look. The company has also included a small rear spoiler for better downforce.
The company has tried its best to make the interior of this car simple, its interior has been equipped with very important and minimum buttons. In its cabin, the company has used carbon-fibre Alcantara and leather, which makes its cabin premium. It gets a 10-inch digital instrument display and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the carbon fiber covered central console houses only the drive mode selector, a wireless smartphone holder, infotainment controls and a few other minor functions.
The Car is Light Weight
Maserati has used a lot of carbon fiber to reduce the weight of the MC20. The vehicle weighs less than 1.5 tonnes and its weight is 59 per cent at the rear and 41 per cent at the front. The chassis of the MC20 is of monocoque type and weighs just 100 kg.
Maserati MC20 Supercar: Engine Details
In terms of power, the company has used a powerful twin-turbocharged V6 engine of 3.0 liters capacity in this car, the engine of MC20 is mid-mounted which may seem small at first displacement. But Maserati says they are using patented technology from the F1. This engine generates power of 630 hp and peak torque output of 730 Nm. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that transfers power to the rear wheels only. Maserati calls this engine the “Nettuno”. There is an option of four different driving modes with this engine.
