Italy’s leading vehicle manufacturer Lamborghini today updated its vehicle lineup in the Indian market with the launch of the new 2023 Urus S. The company has introduced this car in two variants, the price of its base model has been fixed at Rs 4.18 crore and the price of Urus Performante has been fixed at Rs 4.22 crore (ex-showroom). There is a difference of Rs 4 lakh in both the advertisements.

After a long wait, Lamborghini India has finally launched its super car ‘Urus S’ in the SUV segment on Thursday, 13 April. This is the second model from the company in the Urus line up. Earlier, the company has launched Urus Performant in India in November-2022.

Great in Speed

The company claims that the Urus S can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is 305 kmph. In comparison, the Urus Performante accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 306 kmph. Apart from this, the company has updated the car as per the new RDE norms.

Look & Design

TIn terms of design, the Lamborghini Urus S gets a new bumper and steel skidplate. Fiber paint is available in the bonnet of the car. Apart from this, this sporty car comes with an optional carbon roof. The car has 21-inch designer wheels, LED headlights, DRL, Y-shaped LED taillamps.

In terms of design, there is not much difference between the Urus Performante and the Urus S. But comes with a better design than the old Urus. The Urus S has been brought in as a replacement for the previous model. It looks sportier than before. Along with this, it also comes with a lot of luxury. In this, 21-inch alloy wheels have been given as standard. But customers can also choose 22 or 23 inch alloy wheels according to their choice.

On the other hand, Talking about the cabin features of the car, it gets bucket-seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control and an infotainment system with two touchscreen panels. At the same time, many airbags and ADAS features are available in this car for safety.

The company claims that this is the best and performance version of the Urus. The same interior design has been given in both the variants, but different materials have been used in it. While the Urus Performante gets black Alcantara interiors as standard, the Urus S gets leather interiors.

What is the difference ?

The biggest difference between the Urus S and the Urus Performante is the suspension set-up. Fixed quoll spring has been given in the performance variant while air suspension is available in the base model. While the base model gets three riding modes (Sand, Snow and Mud), the Performante gets only one offroading mode, which the company calls ‘Rally’.

In Lamborghini Urus S, the company has given a twin-turbo V8 petrol engine of 4.0 liters capacity, which generates strong power of 666hp and torque of 850 Nm. This powerful engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox, which distributes power to all the wheels. It also gets a limited-slip differential and dynamic torque distribution for each wheel.

Driver gets multiple modes to take a ride in the super SUV. In this, the driver can choose any mode from Strada, Corsa, Sport, Sabia, Terra and Nav. The SUV gets two screens, one houses the infotainment system and the other screen can set the features like AC, seats, temperature controls. Apart from this, it comes with features like online smart routing, traffic light information, 3D city view, car finder.
