When we look at the cars for the first time all the four cars are of different class and different segment. Volvo V40 is a premium hatchback car, Mercedes B class is a mini MPV car and Audi Q3 and BMW X 1 are crossover cars. All four cars are of different segments but attracts customer in India as all four cars are of premium brands,run diesel engines with automatic gearboxes but,  can seat 5 people and are priced near to each other more importantly, these represent entry-level offerings for their respective makers.

Mercedes B Class vs Volvo V40 vs Audi Q3 vs BMW X1 – Design and Styling:

We think  among the four cars Volvo V40 stands in top when you talk about looks and design It might be considered s a hatchback but is larger and sportier then the rest of hatchback available in India. The V 40 front looks are similar to Volvo s 60  and back looks gives the cars the added punch and zip as it makes it look sportier. The interior may not be as sportier as its exterior but are pleasant looking. Additionally, it gets a reversing camera, park assist which steers the car automatically into a suitable parking spot, three modes for steering assist, and ventilated seats. It also comes with more safety features like seven airbags, bending lights and City Safety. The latter automatically brings the car to a stop by applying brakes if it senses impending collision. The system only works under 50 kmph.

The next in line is Audi Q3 which follows the similar looks of its big brother cars Q5 and Q7 as all cars similar looking. The Audi cars are known for its looks as it comes with led headlamps and its straight lines. The crossover car has more space then V40 in front and and the back seats and the cars comes with 7 air bags and leather seating.

The other crossover in this comparison is Bmw X 1 the car comes with very simplistic looks a the exterior front which is very BMW ish.  It has more usable space than the Volvo but it can’t match the B-Class on these counts. It does get more equipment than the B, though, but again, the Volvo ticks more boxes. One might argue that the BMW’s build and quality feel are inferior to none, and we agree. Unfortunately for the X1, the B-Class and the V40 are equally good.

Mercedes B class may not come with excellent looks but the car has loots of leg room and head room because of its flattish panels as it comes in the category of Mini MPV.
