This new long range version of the Nexon will be sold alongside the existing Nexon EV. But what is the difference between the two vehicles? Let us know in detail.
Tata Nexon EV Max Vs Tata Nexon EV – Battery and Range
The biggest change in both these electric cars from Tata can be attributed to its battery pack. While the Nexon EV comes with a 30.2kWh battery, the Nexon EV Max packs a bigger 40.5kWh battery. This is an increase of around 33 per cent and due to this the driving range of the SUV has increased by 40 per cent. The regular Nexon EV has an ARAI certified range of 312 km while the new Nexon EV Max SUV has a range of 437 km.
Tata Nexon EV Max Vs Tata Nexon EV – Design:
Talking about the look and design of the electric SUV, there is not much change in the exterior look. Both the cars look almost the same. However, dual-tone color schemes are available as standard in the Nexon EV Max. The car is available in three color options – Daytona Grey, Pristine White and Intensity-Teal. Of these, the intensity-teal color will be available only on the Nexon EV Max. Slight changes have been made to the alloy wheels but its size remains the same at 16-inches.
Coming to the inside of the cabin, the Nexon EV Max has received a very fine redesigning of the dashboard. The traditional handbrake has been replaced with an electronic parking brake with auto hold function. The Nexon EV Max now gets a wireless charging pad and an air purifier. The new vehicle also gets a new drive selector with ventilated front seats and an active mode display. The cabin gets a new Makran Beige color scheme and also gets an auto-dimming IRVM. The Nexon EV Max also comes with ZConnect 2.0 which comes with 8 new features.
Tata Nexon EV Max vs Tata Nexon EV – Breaking:
While the regular Nexon EV gets disc brakes at the front wheel and drum brakes at the rear, the Nexon EV Max gets disc brakes all around. Apart from this, the Nexon EV Max has also become heavier by about 100 kg and the suspension has been retuned to accommodate this change.
Tata Nexon EV Max vs Tata Nexon EV – Drive Modes:
Another new addition to the Nexon EV Max is the multi-mode region. Users can change the level of regenerative braking on the vehicle and even turn it off completely. This was not the case with the older vehicle as it had only one level for the regeneration system. The Nexon EV Max also gets new driving modes. The user can choose from three modes – Eco, City and Sport.
Tata Nexon EV Max vs Tata Nexon EV – Space:
Larger batteries require some more space. But Tata Motors has managed to adjust it efficiently. As a result, there is no change in the boot space or ground clearance of the vehicle. Both the Nexon EV and Nexon EV Max have a ground clearance of 205 mm and a boot capacity of 350-Liters.
