BYD Seal EV: Chinese electric mobility giant BYD introduced its latest electric sedan car SEAL in the Indian market on the first day of the 2023 Auto Expo. The sealed electric car will be the company’s third product in the country within two years of starting its operations in India. The Sealed is based on the E-platform 3.0 and is the first car to use BYD’s Cell to Body (CTB) technology. It gets 50:50 axle load distribution and has a drag coefficient of 0.219 cd.

The company has introduced this electric car with two different battery packs, in which a battery pack with a capacity of 61.4 kWh has been given in one variant and a battery pack with a capacity of 82.5 kWh in the higher version. The company claims that the lower variant offers a driving range of 550 km on a single charge and the higher variant offers a driving range of up to 700 km on a single charge. In addition to this, the car is available with both single and dual motor configurations in the global market. The company claims that the dual motor all wheel drive variant given in this car generates power of 530 hp. People generally have the impression that electric cars are slow in terms of pick-up, but that is not the case with this car at all. The company says that this car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds. At this speed, this car gives a driving range of up to 650 kilometers.

Talking about the length, width and height of the car, it is 4800 mm long, 1875 mm wide and 1460 mm high. On the other hand, talking about Hyundai Ioniq 5, it is 4635 mm long, 1890 mm wide and 1625 mm high. Hyundai Ioniq 5 also has a wheelbase of 3000 mm and BYD’s Seal has a wheelbase of 2920 mm.
