Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a new CNG variant of its famous affordable SUV Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Toyota has introduced this SUV in a total of two variants S and G. Adorned with attractive looks and powerful engine capacity, the base ‘S’ variant of this SUV has been priced at Rs 13.23 lakh and the price of ‘G’ variant has been fixed at Rs 15.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Let us tell you that, earlier in November 2022, the company had announced to enter the CNG segment with its Glanza and Hyryder. The company has named it the Urban Cruiser Hyryder E-CNG. Buyers can book it sitting at home or at the nearest dealership from the company’s official website by paying a token money of Rs 25,000. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder competes with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara CNG.

The company launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in the Indian market in the month of July last year and it is also getting a good response from the customers. Its Strong Hybrid variant is being liked a lot. Now with the introduction of the new CNG variant, the demand for this SUV is expected to increase further. Let us tell you that both the SUVs of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota have been built on the same platform, before that Maruti had launched Grand Vitara CNG in the market.

The company claims that this car gives a mileage of up to 26.6 km per kg. On the other hand, talking about the mileage of its petrol variants, the company claims that its strong hybrid variant is capable of giving mileage up to 27.97 kmpl, mild hybrid (manual) variant 21.12 kmpl and automatic variant 19.39 kmpl.
Toyota Hyryder CNG: Engine
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder E-CNG is powered by a 1.5L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT bi-fuel petrol engine that produces 86.6 bhp power and 121.5 Nm peak torque in CNG mode. A 5-speed manual gearbox is paired with the engine for transmission. Regarding the mileage, the company claims that the Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider SUV will travel 26.6 kilometers in one kg of CNG.

Toyota Hyryder CNG: Exterior Design
As we mentioned, this SUV is similar to the regular model and no changes have been made in it. Features on the SUV include LED headlamps, 6 airbags, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, Toyota i-Connect, auto-folding out side rear view mirrors (ORVM’s), auto-dimming IRVMs, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto Features like connectivity, and automatic climate control are available.
The Hyryder CNG variant gets same interiors similar to cars from Maruti and Toyota like Baleno, Glanza, New Brezza, XL6 and Ertiga. It was kept on black and brown theme. The mild-hybrid model will also get an all black interior theme. Black-brown is mixed in the strong hybrid powertrain car itself.
