The Italian bike manufacturer company Ducati introduced the adventure touring bike Multistrada in India on 2010. Multistrada is the aggressive looking hybrid of a supermoto and a adventure touring bike. Multistrada is one of its most advanced innovation from Ducati. It can be changed to sport, touring, urban or enduro bike by using a controller on-board. Ducati Multistrada will be available in four versions in India – Ducati Multistrada 1200 , Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro and Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Overview: The Multistrada 1200 S is come with more interesting with its latest technologies. The overall design styling of this new Multistrada hasn’t changed and still gets the tall boy design. The bike come with Marchesini three-spoke wheels and a newly designed LED headlight. Multistrada 1200 S come with loaded features with the latest gadgets. The bike gets Ducati Safety Pack (DSP) that combines the Bosch 9ME multi-calibration cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with the Ducati branded 8-levels Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and the rider has the option to switch off the ABS. Multistrada 1200 S offer four riding modes like as urban, touring, sport and enduro. The bike come with other loaded features like as Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS), cruise control and hands-free ignition. It gets TFT display that shows detailed data of the bike, which will be helpful to the rider.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Specification: Ducati Multistrada 1200 S is powered by a 1198.4 cc, Ducati Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, dual spark, liquid cooled engine. The engine generate maximum power 160 Hp at 9500 Rpm and and a peak maximum torque of 136 Nm at 7500 Rpm. The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. The bike uses Ducati Safety Pack twin 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted monoblocco Brembo calipers, 4-piston, 2-pad, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the front and 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper, with cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment at the rear. The brakes are equipped with Bosch 9ME electronically adjustable Anti-lock Braking System which makes it more responsive. The suspension work is handled by with 48 mm electronically adjustable upside down suspension unit at the front and electronic spring pre-load adjustment at the rear end. Both the suspensions are integrated with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) technology. The bike has a fuel tank of 20 liters and it weights around 235 kg.
