The country’s largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra is offering new cars to improve the experience of its fans. Mahindra has revealed its 5 electric SUVs on the occasion of 15th August. The company has introduced two new platforms BE and XUV for the upcoming electric cars. All these were unveiled at an event to be held in Oxfordshire, UK. Let us tell you that all these SUVs have been designed by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E) based in the West Midlands of Britain. Let’s know about the design and other details related to it.

Let us tell you that their names are XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. According to the information received, the first 4 cars are to be launched between the year 2024-2026. Mahindra has launched 2 EV brands, the iconic brand XUV (with copper colored Twin Peaks logo) and the all new electric brand BE. Mahindra’s new electric SUV is based on the modular INGLO platform. INGLO makes the lightest stackboards and batteries with class-leading high energy-density. Of these, the first 4 electric SUVs will be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2024.

Big Invest in Electric SUVs

The company plans to invest more than $1 billion in the electric vehicle segment. The company had raised Rs 1,925 crore ($250 million) in July from British International Investment and the UK’s Development Finance Institution at a valuation of Rs 70,070 crore ($9.1 billion).

Mahindra Electric SUV Dimensions & Ground Clearance

These SUVs are being built on the INGLO platform. Their length will be between 4,368 mm and 4,735 mm. At present, the length of the company’s XUV700 is 4,695mm. While the wheelbase will be flexible, which will be 13 mm. It will be kept at 2,762 by 2,775 mm.

Mahindra is also paying special attention to the ground clearance. The company says that it is targeting the ground clearance with a ramp breakover degree of 20 degrees and a battery of 218 mm. Which will be kept 150 to 190mm.

Battery will be 80% charged in less than 30 minutes

The vehicle’s battery will range from 60-80kWh and will support a 175kW fast charger, which will charge the battery to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Mahindra says that the 80kWh battery will give a driving range of around 435km to 450km under the WLTP cycle.

All-wheel-drive Set-up

The new e-SUV will get an all-wheel-drive set-up with rear drive. The front motor will generate a maximum torque of 109hp and 135Nm, while the rear motor will make a maximum of 286hp and 560Nm of torque. On board, Mahindra says that the rear drive model will generate between 231hp and 286hp, while the AWD model will generate between 340hp and 394hp. These cars will catch the speed of 0-100kph in 5 to 6 seconds.

Safety of Mahindra Electric XUV

Mahindra claims its cars to be certified by safety rating agencies such as GNCAP, Euro NCAP and BNCAP. The company says that it has used boron steel to give more strength to the car.

Features of Mahindra EV

The company has not disclosed much about the features of the car. However, the company did mention that the pillar-to-pillar triple screen set-up will be available with three 1920X720p high resolution 12.3-inch panel housings. Apart from the boot, the SUV will also have a front trunk or frank.
